Strength For Today.

John 4:13-14 (NIV).
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

I cannot find much to say today as another tragedy has effected my extended family.

We need to believe there is some purpose to this, but at this point, the only thing that is clear is hurt, pain and loss.

I am praying that the family will eventually find peace and understanding - it may take time (and probably a lot of it), but I pray that when we come in our "broken" state, Jesus will fill our lives with a new found strength for today, tomorrow and for ever,

May we also find that because of His love for us, we will never go "thirsty" - our lives will overflow with a spirit of hope, joy and love.

Come just as you are, hear the spirit call.
Come just as you are.

Come and see, come receive,
Come and live forever.

Life everlasting.
And strength for today.
Taste the living water,
And never thirst again.

Come just as you are, hear the spirit call
Come just as you are, come receive
Christ the King,
Come and live forever.

Life everlasting.
And strength for today.
Taste the living water,
And never thirst again.

Come just as you are, hear the spirit call
Come just as you are, come receive
Christ the King,
Come and live forever more.

Come receive
Christ the King,
Come and live forever more

Lord, may your peace and understanding fill our hearts, minds and body today.
Many are the things we can not understand - only you can provide the comfort we need in times of loss.

Give strength to those who need you, words of wisdom to those who comfort others and sense of peace to those who grieve.
Amen.
